We are writing with updates related to convention merchandise & audio recordings, the membership survey, and the forthcoming social media service pamphlet and Conference Agenda Report.

Please forward this email to anyone you think might be interested.  We use these eblasts to communicate important world service items, and your help in spreading the word is appreciated.

WCNA Merchandise and Audio Recordings

Deeply discounted merchandise from WCNA 34 is available online at http://www.hicorpinc.com/na. Additionally, there is merchandise from previous world conventions on this site at blow out prices. Treat yourself or buy a gift for a friend or sponsee/sponsor.

Audio recordings from WCNA 34 are still available for sale at http://www.siattend.com/Association.aspx?aic=NA. Our event is challenging for any vendor to record since we have five locations at any one time running from 9 am to 2 am each day.  It’s made even more challenging by the fact that potential sales are increasingly affected by bootleg copies of audio files. In the past, our members have shared the MP3 recordings with a friend or two. That practice seems to have grown exponentially and members openly told our vendor at WCNA 34 that they were not purchasing recordings because they were so readily available online. This does not reflect very well on us as a fellowship and jeopardizes our ability to find anyone to provide this service for us in the future.

Membership Survey

Our membership survey is online until 31 December at www.na.org/?ID=projects.  Please help us not only by completing a survey but encouraging your friends, home group, etc. to participate and help us to get an accurate picture of our fellowship. We do this every two years and it helps us in many ways, including providing a realistic picture of NA to professionals who treat addicts.

Social Media Service Pamphlet

The delegate review period for the draft service pamphlet, “Social Media and Our Guiding Principles” ended on 31 October. We are making the necessary revisions to the draft and it will be available in its final form by the end of the calendar year.

2012 Conference Agenda Report(CAR)

Scheduled to be released by 28 November in English – translated versions by 28 December. The CAR is available for purchase from the WSO at $13, including shipping and taxes. It is also available on the web free of charge from the link at www.na.org/conference. The user name is CP2012 and the password is WSC2012. The log in information will remain the same through WSC 2012 and conference related material will continue to be posted here.

Service System

The revised proposals, resolutions for decisions, and straw polls to obtain a sense of the fellowships wishes.

Living Clean

Material discussing our literature development process and the approval draft of Living Clean.

FIPT motions

We are offering motions related to electronic enhancements, bundling of NA literature, and corrections to existing material.

WCNA rotation

We are proposing changing the convention from every two years to every three years after 2015 and changing the rotation pattern.

IDTs

Material is out for Self Support, In Times of Illness, and A Vision for NA Service. We encourage people to participate in these discussions. (See http://www.na.org/?ID=2011_IDTfor more information on these IDTs.)

Regional Proposals

We tried, as a conference, to experiment this cycle with regional proposals rather than motions. There are five in the CAR as well as the responses from the WB.
